The Karimikui Factory is located in Ngariama, Gichugu Division, Kirinyaga County, Central Province. Karimikui Factory was built in 1966. Coffee grown in the villages of Githureia, Gituba, and Kiamugumo is brought here. Currently, most small-scale producers in this region grow tea rather than coffee.
